Een groep geallieerde inlichtingenagenten ontdekt dat buitenaardse wezens eeuwen geleden op aarde zijn aangekomen en floreren door de uitbuiting van mensen. De groep denkt dat dit de oorsprong is van veel van de wezens die mensen kennen uit mythen, folklore en legenden, waaronder vampiers en weerwolven. Ze ontdekken dat deze buitenaardse wezens nu een sinister kader hebben gevormd dat erop uit is de wereld voor zichzelf over te nemen. Als reactie hierop vormen de agenten een uiterst geheime multinationale organisatie, bekend als The Global Alliance, die belast is met het beschermen van de wereld tegen de buitenaardse dreiging en het tegen elke prijs geheim te houden voor het publiek.
