Charlie Landers is gek op games. Als het even kan kruipt hij achter de computer om zijn favoriete spel Hero Rising te spelen. Al snel staat hij met zijn nickname Aaron Stone bovenaan in de highscore. Maar dan blijkt dat Hero Rising meer is dan alleen een online game… Het spel wordt gebruikt om geheimagenten te zoeken die in de echte wereld strijden. En zo wordt de normale naar schoolgaande Charlie opeens ook in het echt Aaron Stone. Gewapend met hightech gadgets en robot S.T.A.N. gaat hij de strijd tegen het Omega-verbond. Dit is een groep hele knappe koppen op technisch gebied die de wereld in hun macht willen krijgen. En daarnaast gaat zijn gewone leven met sport, school en familie door en moet hij proberen de twee levens te combineren. Of en hoe hem dat lukt zie je in Aaron Stone!
