Katharina Almeda is huisvrouw en moeder van twee kinderen. Haar man is eigenaar van een exportbedrijf en, wat Katharina niet weet, is betrokken bij verschillende illegale zaken. Met zijn handlanger en minnares Marie, die hij als zijn vrouw uitgeeft, reist hij door Europa en breidt hij zijn illegale netwerk uit. Maar nu werkt hij samen met de BND om eruit te komen en wordt hij op een verborgen plek vastgehouden. Zijn vrouw Katharina wordt het middelpunt van het onderzoek van het BKA en hun kinderen worden bedreigd door criminelen. Katharina moet vijf miljoen euro van Moskou naar Genève smokkelen en moet al snel een halve ton heroïne vinden. Ondertussen heeft Katharina nog steeds banden met de Russische Sergei, maar ze laat hem weer vallen voordat ze met haar man, kinderen en vader die weduwe is, naar Argentinië vertrekt.
